6260 Multi-Purpose Machine—V4 Broom Head « MPI

The V4 Broom head is perfect for railyards and rail-tracks with the ability to pick up a variety of material from rail-car spillage. The 6260 can deposit the spilled material almost anywhere with the rear swing conveyors. The rear swing conveyor can continuously deposit the material directly into a dump truck, a rail car that is coupled with the 6260, or to the side of the track.

Ideal for Cleaning Railcar Spillage

Special features built into the 6260 make it an ideal active track and yard cleaner. Operating on tracks with its integral friction drive high-rail system, it easily removes sand, iron ore pellets, raw iron ore, sawdust, coal and other types of debris or spillage from active tracks or rail yards.

Active tracks are no problem. The agile 6260 can move itself on and off the track without a road crossing or siding. Either procedure requires less than 10 minutes and can be performed under smooth or (within reason) rough terrain conditions.

The 6260 has the ability to dump the coupled side railcar. No need to detach from the railcar. The 6260 air system pumps up the side railcar which in turn will allow you to dump the side railcar.
